Movial says its adaptive video calling enables carriers and equipment vendors to launch video calling services that intuitively provide the best possible call quality based on end user bandwidth, CPU speed, camera and screen resolution intelligence.
When making video calls over IP, changing environmental factors determine the quality of the service, the company says. Movial continuously determines if the current video profile is still providing the best possible video performance, and will automatically re-adjust in case there is a sudden reduction in bandwidth.
The company announced the immediate availability of its end-user application, Movial Communicator, for Windows, Mac, Linux, iPhone, MMTel, Symbian, and set-top-boxes. It can “remove the barrier to adoption by users who have been left less than impressed with a poor quality video calling experience,” Movial says.
